Homes for sale and rent in Glyfada

Glyfada is the commercial centre of the southern suburbs, roughly 15 km from central Athens. The centre is dense and busy, with shopping streets, restaurants and cafés. Four marinas line the coast, and the Glyfada Golf Club sits just inland of the seafront.

The housing splits into two broad types. Near the centre and the sea, most homes are apartments, many in newer buildings with large balconies and parking. Away from the centre, Ano Glyfada climbs towards Mount Hymettus with a mix of apartments, maisonettes and detached houses. The streets around the golf course are lower in density.

The tram runs along the coast towards central Athens, and Elliniko metro station is a short drive. Vouliagmenis Avenue is the direct road into the city. The beaches of Voula and Vouliagmeni are a few minutes south.

Glyfada suits people who want everything within walking distance. Expect traffic in the centre, especially on summer evenings and weekends.
